Guardian Angel
Hank takes his job seriously. He clocks in every day on time, and stays exactly how long is required of him. So what if he never volunteers for overtime? There are plenty of colleagues eager to cover for him.
Hank never drinks to excess while on duty. Sure he may get a little tipsy on occasion, but not to the detriment of his charges, who remain his top priority. If anything, drinking in moderation calms his nerves and makes him more effective at angeling.
Yes, he sometimes parties with some friendly devils, but he's trying to convince them to repent.
The Giver
It started with gummies. Her mother placed a bag inside her lunch box every day. She gave them all away, hoping the other kids would like her.
In high school, she had a crush on a cute boy. She gave him the best seat, and then she couldn’t see.
Away at university, she baked lemon cakes. She gave all the slices to students who studied in the lounge late at night.
One day after work, she paused at a window and stared. People on the sidewalk bustled behind her.
She stepped into the bakery, bought lemon cake, and ate it.From Guest Contributor Faye Rapoport DesPres

Keeping It Together
Option 1: The books I’ve read on the left hand side, those I haven’t on the right hand side.
Option 2: From top to bottom arranged by colour, following the colour sequence of the rainbow.
First, the daily routine: checking the updates, every day at the same time, hoping they announce that during the past 24 hours there were no fatalities to regret, no one was admitted to hospital and all those that have been – even those in Intensive Care – were allowed to leave. But that didn’t happen today. Today, I try keeping it together by choosing between two options.

The Beats
Gregory Corso was sitting in the window of Allen Ginsberg's East Village apartment – two, three hours, just sitting in silence. He had vowed to himself not to be a willing participant to any further chaos. Just to be every day, it took everything. You could be having a really nice time at the beach or the park one minute and in the next minute there could be cops with meaty red faces gassing and clubbing you. Once at a reading some lady asked him, “What’s an id?” and he waited a bit before answering, “Eighteenth-century sea captains carousing in Surinam.”
