Unlucky Day
Being a leprechaun is a delight 99.75 percent of the time. All rainbows and clover and pots of gold. But for a single day in March, everyone wants their three wishes and suddenly life gets a lot more complicated.
Sean O'Patrick O'Reilly knew enough to scout his hiding place early. You never wanted to be caught because you're scrambling for an empty cave or secluded tree hollow and without warning someone has you by the ankle demanding a million dollars or world peace.
But who could have foreseen an old, fat man's metal detector stumbling upon Sean's golden hat buckle?
Bee Grudged
The creature basked in the sensory experience that was home, almost oblivious to the otherwise hypnotic aroma of clover which wafted in from beyond the hive’s entrance each summer.
To most fauna beyond the narrow and disguised access, this was an old tree clinging to its few remaining vital branches.
Rejuvenated, the worker set to follow the next wave out to forage for more nectar and the inadvertent spreading of pollen on which the rest of the planet depended.
Its world ended when a great hairy paw collapsed walls, mashing bee with wax and bark as the bear claimed honey.

Company
When Bill and Melissa arrived home, they found that every floor in their house had been covered with clover. The couple was understandably frightened.
Reports had been circulating for weeks of belligerent leprechauns running loose in the city. It had been dangerous for them to even leave their home, but Bill had insisted they'd be safe at the park.
It may have been Stockholm syndrome, but having the leprechauns in their home didn't seem so bad. There was plenty of whiskey and dancing, plus they were granted a few minor wishes.
But after 600 years, their company has grown quite tiresome.
