You Know It
Gordon refused to acknowledge the accusations Heather levied against him.
"It's you who's been sabotaging this relationship from the very beginning, not me."
"See, you're doing it again. You turn everything around. You know it, too." She was so angry, she was nearly choking on her tears. Heather always started crying whenever they got in an argument. To gain the upper hand. And he was sick of it.
"If you're so unhappy then let's just break up." Whenever he threatened ending everything, Heather immediately calmed down. She was scared of being alone and she knew it.
"I agree. We're through."
Out Of Time
Christopher ran as fast as possible to the station. Typical, leaving it to the last minute.
He kept hoping Brian would say something first. Even if it wasn't I'm sorry, the simple act of reaching out would have encouraged Christopher to admit the accusations had been out of line. He can't help his sensitive heart, and sometimes Brian was the victim.
Now Brian is on the train to Boston. Now Brian is marrying the ex he'd left for Christopher. Now Brian is dead.
The apology will forever go unstated. He will forever be alone. Christopher has fallen out of time.
Crimes And Misdemeanors
Nature Submission:
Mike claimed to feel bad about the slugs, but what options did he have? If they insisted on eating his spinach plants, it was only right that he eradicate the menace. The more humane methods hadn't worked, so beer traps it was.
Well, maybe methods is an exaggeration. He really just tried one option, sprinkling egg shells around the roots. And he'd probably been a little careless about setting a perimeter, making it easy for the slugs to avoid them on their path to leafy sustenance.
But any accusations that Mike enjoyed torturing the slugs is insulting and completely unfounded.
